(Stories from those who know Noah best.)

I have been asking family, educators, sitters, and others who have worked with Noah to answer a series of questions about their favorite “Noah moments.” Over the next few weeks I will be sharing their responses and pictures. Today’s answers come from Miss K, Kristi, a para educator who has worked with Noah for the last three years in middle school.

1. What is the funniest “Noah moment” you ever witnessed? (Bonus points if it left you laughing when you probably should not have been.) There are so many funny moments I have shared with Noah. My favorite would have to be when he stuffed a ball up his shirt every day in P.E. to mimic a teacher who was pregnant at the time. He proudly waddled around showing everyone his “baby bump.”

2. If Noah had a job title based on how you know him, what would it be? Two jobs come to mind immediately. First, a tailor, because Noah is constantly “modifying” his clothing. Second, a dressing room attendant, since he has a habit of taking off socks and shoes—or sometimes just the socks, before marching around like it was the most natural thing in the world.

3. What is something Noah did that made you stop and think, “Well, I did not see that coming”? One rainy morning Noah splashed in a puddle on the way into school, soaking the bottoms of his jeans. No problem. He walked right into the classroom, peeled off his jeans, tossed them in the dryer, and carried on with his day wearing only his shirt, pull-up, and socks. He was unbothered. I was stunned.

4. If you had to give survival tips to the next teacher/helper/sitter, what wisdom would you share? Expect the unexpected. Noah is unpredictable and full of antics, but he is also incredibly sweet. Sometimes the best strategy is to smile, laugh, and move on.

5. What memory of Noah always makes you smile (or shake your head) when you think of it?Every morning I would greet him with, “Good morning, Sunshine.” Without fail he would grin and answer back, “Hi Sunshine.” Even on rough days, Noah had a way of making me smile.

Good morning Sunshine!
